Some Creative Ways to Make Learning Fun for Toddlers

Sound sensory bin

I collected some sound related items like mouth organ, rattle and filled some bottles using thermacol, bells and kept a empty bottle. The kid would love to hear and explore with these different sounds.

Learning shapes

I just used a cardboard and foam sheet. First I drew different shapes on the cardboard and cut out the shapes from the foam sheet. Thats it, the activity is ready. Instruct your child to identify the corresponding shape and let them enjoy while learning shapes. You can also use Velcro for more effective play.

Matching the object with the outline:

Stamping

You can make simple stamps at home using bottle caps and foam sheets or rubber. I had some pickle bottles. Using foam sheets, I cut some basic shapes and glued them on the caps. Stamps are ready. Kid can color the stamp and start stamping on a piece of paper. Yo Ivan teach shapes, colours and anything of your choice with this stamping technique. Kids will learn them with great fun.

Color matching activity

These are the sketch pens I had. I just separated the sketch pens with their lids and it became a good activity for color matching for my toddler. My lo really enjoyed matching the caps.

Sea themed Sensory play

sensory play with water, aquatic animals figurines, water beads. It was really fun play with water in the hot afternoon….
