The majority of us are aware that the current period of problems and time is troubling not only to us as people, but also to our growth, with young children being the most affected and impeded by these issues. Mrs Menzel – My child is very active and impulsive in her surroundings, and I could see a defined and channelled growth in her development before the pandemic, but as the Covid loomed over us all, the idea of letting my kids out in the open seemed very risky, and it certainly triggered anxiety and concern for my child’s safety. But the reality is that I want my children to grow up in a healthy and educational environment, which is impossible to do by simply sitting at home. Not only do I want my child to improve her cognitive skills, but I also want her to improve her social interaction and observation skills. Even if we are free of the epidemic, I will still be concerned about my child’s safety and what they are doing in their daily activities at school, if I sneak into the future. I’d say that the mothers I’m in touch with are concerned about the same thing and are seeking for ways to maintain track of our children without putting up any barriers or jeopardising their safety.
Mrs Gadkare – My son is just 1.5 years old, yet I can already see him growing massively, but his brain process and cognitive thinking have been limited by his contained environment. I’ve registered in an Early Childhood Education programme in Bangalore, however, I can’t view or follow my son’s progress in the online mode. I’d love to see a feature from the Preschool where we, as parents, can check on the quality of the learning materials while also tracking our children’s progress. It’s all about our children’s safety and development; we try our best to offer a safe environment, but children learn best by doing things for themselves, experimenting with their thought processes, making errors, and learning from them. We would definitely want a solution that allows for improved communication and results, as well as continuous and barrier-free contact and access to learning materials and teachers.
