1. I spy!

A fun game to enhance a child’s sensory skills. It is a wonderful way to get them to explore their environment. Whether they are travelling in a car, strolling in a park, or even if they are standing on their balcony, ask them to observe the things around, to listen to the sounds, etc.

2. Run & Get!

This game can be played with any concept you’re teaching them. It’s a fun and engaging gross motor skill activity. Whether you are teaching them numbers, colours, or letters, you can ask them to run, find and get the appropriate items.

3. Fun with Playdough

Moulding play dough into animals, shapes, objects, etc is an excellent exercise to enhance their fine motor and sensory skills. You can also give them cutters, plastic knives to get their creative side of the brain functioning.

4. Show & Tell

Show and tell is a great way to improve your child’s language skills and confidence level. This fun activity involves them standing on an elevated stage and talking about their favourite toy, character, activity, etc. The possibilities are endless. Ask them questions like ‘what do you want to become when you grow up?’, ‘what do like to do the most?’ etc and you’ll be surprised by their answers.

5. In the garden

Let them explore nature. Get their hands dirty and play games in the sand- making sandcastles, digging, water play, etc. This engaging activity will help them not only understand nature better but also improve their fine motor and sensory skills.
