3. Wednesday – Story Telling on Rainbow:
Read out the story ‘How the Crayons Saved the Rainbow’ to your little one which teaches the importance of teamwork and perseverance through the eyes of some very colorful crayons.

Excerpts from the story by the author Monica Sweeney –

The Sun and the Clouds are best friends. United they create colourful rainbows that are a wonder to behold.
But one day they get into a fight and refuse to be in the sky together which means there are no longer any rainbows. Without rainbows, the colors start disappearing until the Earth was left with no color.

Determined to save the rainbows, the crayons draw rainbows all over the town. They create one so BIG, and BOLD and BEAUTIFUL  that the sun and clouds can’t help but notice.  Will the crayon’s idea work? Yes, it does …. The sun and the clouds get reunited and go back to colouring the world and making people happy once again.
