New Year Party snacks ideas for your Child

New Year is around the corner and it’s time to prepare for your New Year’s Eve celebration. Finding ideas for kid’s snacks for the party is one of the challenging tasks for all moms. We have some interesting snacks recipes for kids; which is easy, quick, healthy and nutritious too.  So, Bring on the New Year’s Eve party! Check out our easy party food for New Year’s Eve:

1. Oats  Dosa

Mix 1 cup grinded oats powder with ½ cup rice powder, ½ cup whipped yoghurt, asafetida, salt, black pepper and cumin seeds. Prepare a dosa batter by adding some water and set aside for about fifteen to twenty minutes. Add julienne carrots, cabbage and coriander leaves to the mix. Add ¼ tsp of Eno to ½ cup of batter and pour it on the heated and greased nonstick tava. Spread it evenly and sprinkle some oil when it gets dry. Dosa should be golden brown from both the sides. Serve hot.

2. Egg atta noodles

Boil the noodles and drain off and rinse them with cold water to remove starch and add 1tsp of oil to prevent them from sticking. Keep them aside. Add finely chopped garlic, ginger to the heated oil in the pan, add veggies and fry them up (but they should remain crunchy). Now pour the eggs to the pan, but not on to the veggies and cook till soft. Add soya sauce, chili sauce, salt, pepper powder to it. Add noodles to it and toss well on high flame for two – three minutes. Ready to serve.

3. Paneer Fries

We need 100gms Paneer , 2 tbsp Olive Oil, Salt to taste, 1tbsp Chaat Masala, 1tbsp Cummin Powder, ½ tbsp. black pepper powder, 1 tbsp Red chilli powder, 1 tsp Garlic Minced, 1 tsp Lemon Juice. Cut Paneer into strips of equal length.. Add Oil , Salt, Chaat Masala, Black Pepper Powder, Red Chilli Powder, Garlic and Lemon juice in paneer srips.  Mix well and shallow fry until golden brown. Serve with dip of your choice or ketchup.

4. Carrot and Cheese filled Idli

3 cups Idli Dosa Batter, 1 cup Cheddar cheese grated, 1 cup Carrots grated. First mix together grated carrot and cheese. Keep this aside. Preheat the Idli Steamer with water. Grease idli plates with a drop of two of sesame oil for each cavity. Fill in less than half of the idli batter in the moulds. Spoon in the carrot cheese mixture and spread it evenly on the batter later. Finally top this layer with another round of the Idli Batter to make a sandwich idli. Steam for about 10 minutes on high heat and turn off the heat. After 10 minutes, the idlis should be steamed completely. Allow the steamed idlis to rest for a few minutes and remove them from the moulds and cut them into quarters. Ready to serve.

5. Mixed Vegetable Toast Sandwich

We need 8 Bread Slices, 2 tbsp butter, 4tsp sesame seeds. ½ cup curd, ¼ cup mayonnaise, veggies available like carrot, cabbage, capsicum etc ½ tsp garlic paste, processed cheese, Salt, black pepper. Mix everything & prepare filling, divide the filling into 4 equal portions. Keep aside. Heat a non stick Tava, put ½ tbsp. of butter and 1 tsp of sesame seeds and cook for few seconds.  Place 2 bread slices on it and cook till both the sides are light brown in color from one side. Place a portion of prepared filling on 1 toasted bread slice, cover it with another bread slice and cook for few seconds till the sandwich turns golden brown from both sides. Now this is ready to serve.
