6 Inspiring Kids who are going to win National Bravery Award 2019

At this time every year on the occasion of Republic Day, kids below the age of 16 are felicitated with National Bravery Awards for their “Act of Bravery against all Odds” by the Prime Minister.

Below are the inspiring stories of some of these brave kids –

Soumyadip Jana

This thirteen year old boy saved his mother and sister from the terrorist attack on Sunjuwan Army camp by sending them to safe room. He had blocked the main door with steel trunks to prevent terrorists from coming into the room. Security forces finally got the terrorists but Soumyadip got multiple injuries from the granite attack, he was in coma for 3 months and still his left part is paralyzed. But his family is very much proud of his son.

Mamata Dalai

Mamata is the youngest recipient of the Bravery Awards this year. She is just 6 year old and from Kendrapara district of Odisha. Last year,  Mamata along with her sister  Asanti (7year) were taking a bath in a pond near their house. Suddenly a 5 feet long crocodile, emerged out of the water and attacked Asanti. Instead of running away, mamata held onto her sister’s left hand and started to pull her out of the crocodile’s grip. Her loud scream and  physical force attracted many nearby people. With her consistent force, Crocodile lost its grip and slipped into the water.

Guru Himapriya

8 year old  Guru Himapriya saved her mother and herself on 10th Feb 2018 from the terrorist attack on Sunjuwan Army camp in Jammu. Terrorist held Guru Himapriya and her mother but she conned the terrorist and convinced them to let her and her mother go to get medical aid for them.

Kanti

8 year old Kanti from mohanpur village of Chhattisgarh saved the life of her 3 year old younger sister from the group of wild elephants. A group of elephant attacked the small village on 17th July and started destroying the crops. Due to fear, everyone left the home and forgot to take their 3 year old daughter. When kanti realized this, she courageously went back to the hut to bring her sister back

Camelia Kathy Kharbyngar

 12 year  old Camelia Kathy Kharbyngar from Meghalaya saved her 17-year-old mentally retarded brother who was unable to help himself out from a raging fire at her house. She walked into their house that was on fire and got him out ..

Anika Jaimini

8 year old Anika Jaimini from rajasthan  fearlessly confronted her kidnapper and foiled the kidnapping attempt with her dauntless courage.
