Moms making a career in the childcare industry

With the amendments in the maternity law, all sectors are pitching in to support women get back or continue to work. From daycares tie-ups to flexi work hours, employers are trying to make it easier for mothers who wish to continue working post childbirth. One such industry which emerges as a most promising & encouraging is the daycare & preschool industry. Women who have been on a long career break too find it easier to join this industry for various reasons –

  1. Flexibility offered – Daycare & preschool industry provides a lot of flexibility to its employees. Staff can work full time, part time & also on hourly basis.
  2. Familiar work – Mothers make the best teachers because they have been a hand on moms. They understand the child psychology better than others.
  3. Love for children – Mothers love it at preschools. The motherly instincts make it easier for them to be a second mother for children out there. The love & care in school environment brings immense satisfaction to them
  4. Near & dear ones – Many new mothers get their children along with them to the day care they work for. By this they are able to keep a watchful eye on other kids while they never miss out their own kids.
  5. Wings to their dreams – Franchise option allows women to work for themselves & start their own school. This not only gives wings to their aspirations but also supports other women looking for flexible work options to support their families.

Preschool teachers nurture, teach, and care for children. Part-time schedules are common among preschool teachers. Many teachers work the traditional 10-month school year with a 2-month vacation during the summer. In addition to being knowledgeable about the subjects they teach, preschool teachers must have the ability to communicate, inspire trust and confidence, and motivate students, as well as an understanding of the students’ educational and emotional needs.
