Decision to choose career over bringing up her little one at home has always been difficult for a mother. She feels a constant guilt for having to leave her child behind in the care of a professional daycare service.

This indeed is a value we all want to see in our children. Life is so much easier when everyone does their part of chores. Being away from mom, under the supervision of caring staff, a child is taught to do his bit. Is it getting ready for school, putting away the clothes, eating meals, everything is taught with affectionate staff. All this unburden a working mom & ensures she has time to be with her family. There are lot things a mom does for their child out of love which unknowingly becomes a trap in the long run. At a daycare, a teacher or guide instructs the child well to finish daily tasks. This brings a sense of achievement in children & is great for their self confidence.

At a daycare, kids are expected to choose & decide very early in their lives. This helps them grow into mature adults who take responsibility of their decisions rather than blaming others & situations in life.

It has been seen that the children of over-protective parents are often bad at solving their own problems later in their lives. At daycare, child often learns to solve his issues, adapt to situations & attempt to resolve problems. Such qualities make him a successful adult. Children at daycare are exposed to various situations which they will never get to experience at home under the protective blanket of parents.

Acceptable socially

When a kid is surrounded by all kinds of pupils with different personalities and attitude, he learns to adapt. He develops social, emotional and survival skills early in life. He learns to cooperate with others. A child with such values turns into a humble & socially responsible adult. He is well aware of the fact that he is not the centre of attention everywhere & treats others with respect.

Structured routine and discipline

At daycare, a child has a structured routine for his entire day. The day is well planned to incorporate many activities to keep him entertained and busy. This makes him disciplined early in life. They may not look or realize the ticking clock, but every activity & task is timed & scheduled. What more does one need than to see their child respecting time & being disciplined?

Also at daycare children are exposed to adults other than his/her own parents. This makes them interact with other adults, find mentors & guide in them.

So mommies, go find a loving & caring daycare for your precious away from home where he will learn things for life. And trust me; he will love you for that. Work is waiting, Go back to work, work hard in life… and do note that your child is watching you, learning all the hard work from you. He too will work as hard as you do & will come out as a winner in his life.
