My Body.. My Rules !!

Very often we get to see articles that describe what a particular body type should wear, or how we can dress up for a particular age , how we can dress up to hide our big butt or highlight our small breasts. WHY..? Why do we need to dress up to hide what we are? The NARCISSIST in me snapped so hard that I had to write this article.

It’s our BODY.. Dressing also needs to be our TYPE..

MY BODY.. MY RULES…

I fail to understand why we need to hide the shape of our body. Don’t you think it’s so absurd that we find endless number of articles on how to make your body look more proportionate, as if almost all female bodies out of proportions. What message are we sending to generations to come?

I think having a positive body image is the basic requisite of looking good and then we need to discover our own personal style. A style that defines our personality – a style we are comfortable with and also that makes us more confident. That confidence should be born out of the fact that you love your outfit and more importantly your body.

Post pregnancy so many women start hiding their tummies because of stretch marks and also a lot of these new mothers lose their confidence because of weight gain or increased size. For once we can start liking ourselves first and then expect rest of the world to accept us as we are. There is nothing mightier than bringing new life to the world, right? How can that happen without some changes in your body type.

Yes, few extreme silhouettes can visually alter the looks but come on, they are clothes, and they can’t magically alter your proportions. Clothes are of course really important but so are our own preferences. You might look slimmer in a certain piece but what if its discomfort is killing your charm. This doesn’t mean that one should wear anything and everything whether it suits them or not. But don’t stick by any rule. Your body is a form that you possess and that’s what you are. Look for style that you find are prefect for you not because it‘ll proportionate your already beautiful body

Happy dressing!

Love yourself!
