Lawnmover Parenting on the rise<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Helicopter parenting has given way to ‘Lawnmower parenting<\/em>‘, another style of parenting with excessive involvement in a child’s life. Named after the device used for cutting grass, a lawnmower parent will intervene or “mow down” any person or obstacle that stands in the way of them saving their child from any “inconvenience, problem or discomfort,” according to a college professor who wrote a blog<\/a> on the subject.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unique Baby Names <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Celebrities aren’t the only ones giving their babies unusual names. Millennial parents are going for less common baby names which could suggest an emphasis on uniqueness and individualism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the banning of plastic straws and cotton buds, parents\nhave become more eco-friendly by reducing toy waste and going for subscription\nplans for toys and activity boxes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
