Diwali is a word that has been derived from the Sanskrit word Deepavali, which means a “row or a string of lights, Diwali is celebrated throughout India, is an important festival in India celebrated with family gatherings, new clothes, special treats, and meals etc. Devotees make offerings to Lakshmi and Ganesha with hope for upcoming wealth and prosperity. Diwali is a time to make peace, settle debts, and do a fresh start to life. Diwali coincides with the darkest day of the year, also known as Amavasya, this is the darkest day of Hindu Lunisolar calendar so everyone put lots lights to kill darkness around as a sign of the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness you.<\/p>\n

There are several ways people Celebrate Diwali, some celebrate with Family, decorate home & doorways with rangoli, light diyas and candles around home for Diwali, shop for new clothes, jewellery, and utensils and invite family, friends over and celebrate with crackers and loud laughter. The significance of Diwali varies regionally within India, with people worshipping differently on the day and following different traditions. Let\u2019s have a look how these top leaders are celebrating Diwali and making it special:<\/p>\n

Asha Patel <\/strong>from\u00a0Safari Kid<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0wishing all a very Happy Diwali’, and praying that the festival of lights bring in love, togetherness, happy smiles, sweet memories to cherish. This Diwali she is ‘All set to explore serenity! However, Mathiya, Chorafali, Ghooghra and Kaju Katli are her favourite part of Diwali!<\/p>\n

This Diwali Kanika Behl of The Courtyard<\/a><\/strong> is giving away sweets to friends and relatives also sponsoring various NGOs for Diwali and bonus & sweets for their staff. Distributed chocolates to all the people who provide services through the year and appreciating their efforts with a small Diwali bonus . At school we had our children make sweets for their parents and kids did rangoli in premises and lit Diyas. The teachers did Deepawali story for kids.<\/p>\n

Bela Kotwani from Cosmi Kids<\/a><\/strong> is going to spend quality time with family and friends. Exchanging gifts as normal tradition. This year will be buying some toys for my helper\u2019s kids to make their Diwali a happy one. She adds that Kaju Katli is her favourite sweet and she is fond of Indian sweets, Diwali time is Mithai time for her.<\/p>\n

Aditya Khurana from KLAY Prep Schools and DayCare <\/a><\/strong>says \u201cWe are a big family and Diwali provides us an opportunity to be back to our grand parents\u2019 home for unadulterated family time. While we do miss the joy of lighting up firecrackers but everything else continues in the same old festive spirit. Always wish the joyous together times continue for longer\u201d<\/p>\n
