Mothers of \u00a0toddlers can relate with Kavita\u2019s incident. Finding your \u00a0child at the edge of the bed, climbing up on the window, on top of the \u00a0dinning table, going under the bed & many other such incidents just scare the life out of a toddler mothers.<\/p>\n

Your toddler is faster, smarter & more skilful than you think he is. \u00a0Preschool & daycare follow proper guidelines to baby proof their \u00a0premises. However homes are the places they are at greater risk.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s very important to baby proof \u00a0your house when the baby starts crawling & moving around.\u201d
\nShe further adds that the children are at a great risk at from age 1 \u2013 \u00a04yrs. This is because of the fact that their growing mind is full of \u00a0curiosity to explore, curiosity to check out your phone, an electric \u00a0appliance, to check what\u2019s under the bed .Every new & unknown object \u00a0attracts their attention & after that there is no stopping them.<\/p>\n

Maple Bear<\/a><\/strong> identifies the main causes of accidents in toddlers & ways \u00a0by which these can be avoided at home.<\/p>\n

1. Choking<\/strong>
\nThis is a high risk factor. Keep small edible & non edible objects \u00a0away from your toddler which he can easily choke on. Same goes for any \u00a0powder compound that can be inhaled in large amount & risk their life.<\/p>\n

2. Poison<\/strong>
\nMedicines, repellents & cleaners need to be locked away. They pose a \u00a0huge risk to the toddlers.<\/p>\n

\nClose all the used & unused sockets & ensure that there is no loose or \u00a0bare wire under the reach of the curious baby.<\/p>\n

\nThese objects need to be kept hidden. At this age your child will be \u00a0opening all the drawers & will try to push the furniture around. It\u2019s important to keep the heavy & sharp objects in higher drawers & \u00a0light & smaller object in the lower drawers that are accessible to \u00a0your child.<\/p>\n

6.\u00a0Finger\u00a0Pinching<\/strong>
\nThe Finger pinch preventer is a smart child safety item which will \u00a0keep your kids from getting their fingers trapped in a door. It will \u00a0also keep them from getting locked in.
