In India, the preschool and childcare market is facing a strong demand in recent years. Factors like rising parent concerns and awareness about early childhood education and care, coupled with increasing number of nuclear families and working women population are expected to contribute to the growing demand for preschool\/child care centers in the country over the course of next five years. India\u2019s preschool\/childcare market in India is forecast to grow at a CAGR of around 23% during 2017 \u2013 2022 \u2013 says one of the recent studies.<\/p>\n

With an unprecedented increase in demand of quality early childcare & education, the industry is expected to see strategic partnerships, acquisition and consolidation. Recently Amelio<\/a> the leading early education brand in south was in news for this exact reason.<\/p>\n

European childcare group Babilou, acquired a majority stake in Amelio Early Education. \u201cThis partnership helps validate our long-standing commitment to provide high-quality childcare to the Indian market. We will use the knowledge and scale of Babilou\u2019s international experience to further expand the market and enhance our offering,\u201d said Sridevi Raghavan, founder and CEO, Amelio. \u201cWe will also leverage the international partnerships Babilou has with companies and set up centres when those corporate set up shop in India,\u201d she explained. Amelio currently operates 14 centres, with 220 employees and serves the needs of 1,200 parents.<\/p>\n

Founded in 2003 by Rodolphe and Edouard Carle, Babilou is a leading European childcare provider, now represents a network of more than 500 childcare centres. Present in eight countries including Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg and the United Arab Emirates, this new partnership is a new step for Babilou in its pedagogical and international development.<\/p>\n
