It’s like a dream come true for Haryana’s Anu Kumari who secured second rank in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exams. It is never an easy task to study when you already have so many responsibilities towards your family to fulfil.<\/p>\n

Anu is a B.Sc. (hons) in physics from Delhi university and MBA from IMT Nagpur, she was working in a private company, but left the job to peruse her dream of becoming an IAS officer. At the age of 31 she made her first attempt for the UPSC exam in 2016, but missed the cut-off by a very narrow gap. April last week UPSC published final result of Civil Services Exam 2017, where Anu Kumari has secured second rank.<\/p>\n

She always wanted to work for nation, speaking to news agency, Anu said, \u201cThis is like a dream come true. I used to study 10-12 hours a day. For over a year I stayed in Sonipat at my aunt\u2019s place. All this while I was away from my child. Even though it was difficult, he was the reason I felt motivated. My first preference will be IAS as I want to stay in my country and serve the people here.\u201d<\/p>\n

Anu Kumari is a mother of four year old, with fulfilling her responsibilities at home she has managed to study for 10-12 hours a day. To news agency she said “Strong will is necessary to achieve something in life and if you are able to do that, nothing can stop you from being successful.<\/p>\n

She says that once she has got the opportunity, she wanted to work for women and child development.<\/p>\n

She suggests “Honestly, it\u2019s tougher to prepare post marriage. Seek maximum support from all possible corners. I would say, try joining some library where you can study away from the child.\u00a0Get support on child care; Or worst \u2013 try living away from the child if nothing else works (quite a difficult choice though).”<\/em><\/p>\n

She has been named the brand ambassador for \u201cBeti Bachao Beti Padhao\u201d program by Haryana Government.<\/p>\n

There is no doubt that all mothers are an amazing individual, they have brilliant management skills, organization and multitasking abilities. Nothing is impossible for them if they decide and focus on their goal. Her story seems like a fairytale in which one faces a lot of problems and finally achieves what they wish for, but It is not just a story but a strong source of inspiration, which not just inspires but it\u2019ll give wings to millions of ladies who are dreaming for it.<\/p>\n
