If you look for an honest opinion, having only one child is much easier than having two or more children. Though there\u2019s one common complaint by parents of single children that they face difficulty in entertaining the child and keeping them engaged all by themselves.<\/p>\n
If a person prefers a meticulous atmosphere, then the fact is having one child makes life simpler and there are lesser relationships in the family to potentially complicate the general family dynamics. Also not to forget, with a single child, it\u2019s only one who can scream, yell or have disasters which sounds pleasing to any breathing parent, ain\u2019t it?<\/p>\n
Though there\u2019s one question that comes to my mind and that is – are single children more spoiled, self\u2013centered, isolated, or cleverer and more affectionate? No! Infact research suggests that single children tend to have warmer & caring relationships with their parents; they also often tend to progress with better oral skills because they are read to more often than children with siblings. Only children also manage to have higher IQs, reason being parents have more time and money to provide for. Upbringing a child can be expensive; if we consider factors like education, lifestyle,<\/p>\n
However, are parents selfish when they consider having just one child? There can be no disagreement to the fact that one child is out of the best relationship one can have in this lifetime: the relationship with one or more sibling. A sibling bond is truly one of the finest mediums for children to realize about relationship fights, and to learn how to solve their problems on disagreements in their growing years. This is a skill which people often bring to their offices, marriages and any other relationship outside their home. Children from joint families or bigger families experience benefits like having playmates, partners, teasers, bullies, opponents, etc at home itself.<\/p>\n
In the end what matters is parenting, it is the utmost important thing than the number of children \/ siblings.<\/p>\n
