Since childhood I was inclined towards art and crafts. So choosing to be a designer as a profession came naturally.<\/p>\n
I worked for few years with catwalk, satyapaul and Shopper’s stop before getting married.<\/p>\n
After marriage due to marriage commitments I had to quit my job. But I was not one of those who can sit quietly and not do anything.\u00a0So at that time\u00a0to keep myself engaged I started canvas paintings.<\/p>\n
My work was really appreciated got orders as well and which gave me a lot of encouragement.<\/p>\n
Then came along my son. And I had to take a creak and focus on him. But soon after having him, the creative bug inside me wanted to do something more than paintings, something special for my son. I started with his room. Still I wanted to do something to keep the memories of the precious years of him growing up alive. And creative bug inside kept nagging me. That’s when I started to make crafts as well that were no ordinary crafts.<\/p>\n
My son was the inspiration. How quickly he was growing up\u00a0and the mother in me wished him to continue to be as small and cute as he was when he was\u00a0born. So, I made life castings for him which is a\u00a0unique art form to preserve the 3D impressions of baby’s hands & feet. And then there was no stopping for me.\u00a0I started creating photo albums and record books to capture his growing up years and then his room’s decor. My friends and family started liking what all I was creating and I started getting orders to do theirs’.<\/p>\n
Thus in this journey of motherhood and my creative pursuits, I decided to take this up as a full time profession.\u00a0Painting and crafting gives me immense satisfaction and it has been like a therapy for me.<\/p>\n
Right now we are setting up The Art Room page which will showcase handmade products which are absolutely unique and will definitely bring colour and happiness to our lives. I am also planning to get other artists on board as well to contribute to The Art Room. We would be bringing together works of people who are talented in\u00a0 different forms of\u00a0 handicrafts\u00a0 to get them maximum recognition and exposure. This venture is totally for the art lovers.<\/p>\n
