This remark is not a quote, but rather a declaration of intent from Mr Kaushal From Ramakidz, who has made it his personal mission to ensure the future of our offspring.
The pandemic has presented us with numerous circumstances and challenges that have not only knocked us down several times but have also served as a testament to our strong will and drive to keep moving forward while accepting the challenges and creating opportunities for a safer life without hindering the development of our children. And Mr Kaushal and Ramakidz have been doing just that, despite the challenges that have come their way.
In an open heart to heart conversation with Mr. Kaushal, we understood that he is committed to delivering quality education and overall growth to our young toddlers and his efforts towards the
activities and reforms for Early Child Care Education is a force to reckon with.
Let’s take a peek at what we discussed and how they plan to strive forward in the coming days.
1. Tell us about your journey. How and when did you start your brand & what has been the inspiration?
I’ve been working in this sector since 1995. At the same time, I was taking tuition sessions for aspiring CA students. While I was doing this, I saw that many of the students’ foundations were inadequate. So I did some research on my own and came to the conclusion that adolescents must be polished and groomed from the beginning right from their Early Education years.
This led to the search of starting a school. The other factor was my mother who loved kids and I guess the love for kids came from her some of those genes were passed on to me. I searched and found out about a unique school franchise named SMART KIDZ.. That’s how the journey with the Preschool started in 2014. Later on, I felt SMART KIDS were limiting many of my interesting ideas so I left the franchise and began my own school RAMAKIDZ in 2019.
Since then, 800 students have graduated from our school and are enrolling in primary schools. I had seen many parents concerned about their children’s adjusting to the environment of bigger schools, so I decided to start a preschool where children would do all the activities done in higher classes, according to their age. The child will be groomed and trained in our school so that parents can be comfortable knowing that their child is ready for big school.
2. What is unique about your brand?
Kids are the foundation of our society so Pre-school is where the kids would spend major, most important time of their life learning and growing. This is a very critical stage, where they can be carved and sculpted out to be whatever they want to become. This is the place their whole foundation begins. So it becomes very important that we enlighten them so they can not only face higher education, but also life. I am proud to say we are succeeding till now. Also, every New Year means upgrading and growing with society, technology, life in tandem with education.
Other than this the school has been made in a way that children may feel like they are studying at home safely and securely. Once the parent drops their child at our school they can be completely carefree about their child. Now, this is where our school becomes extra unique because our school was first in Baroda to induce CCTV access to the parents, thus seeing their child live whenever they want to. We also have a live WhatsApp group where one person keeps monitoring the parents’ concerns in real-time.
Ramakidz is very different from other preschools because here the child is learning things in a fun way, the child is learning new things through each and every activity he does in school, we have a very good syllabus and with smartbooks which has our own teachers’ video explaining the concept in detail. We have daycare services that provide live CCTV access to parents.
3. Tell us about the team.
Talking about this I would like to highlight that I have done a course in NTT (Nursery Teacher Training) and some training in child psychology. I always thought I would have to lead. I will do it from the front. So the team had to be equally talented and more than their talent should have the passion and to deal with kids. The most important virtue for a preschool is patience to deal with them. That’s where our teachers excel at and are super qualified to teach our kids. Also, they have all undergone training in NTT.
4. Any message to the Working Parents?
The message I would like to give to working parents is don’t think and take preschool lightly. In Fact, it’s the most important part of their life and for society. So choosing a good preschool is very important and in fact, a good school is very important. Education is just a part of life where they get qualified and stand on their feet for making money. Education is also important for facing life not only in the emotional part but also in many other important areas of life. So take time to do research and select an education facility that covers everything.
5. What are the plans for the centre this year?
COVID has taught us many things. So we have learnt that the learning of children is not confined to one place. Hence we have planned to keep our school teachings online too. We also learnt that online learning is also not sufficient, physical interaction is also important.
We have also planned to keep up the online classes for PAN India students. We will continue taking online classes for Nursery, Junior and Senior for kids from PAN India. We will also provide Certification courses to preschool kids in our online classes.
