Best Ways to keep kids engaged during Winter Break | Proeves Learning Lab

Winter season has started. Time for winter break and make the most of the vacation. Although kids love to play outside most of the times but during the covid pandemic, kids are bored staying indoors. For mothers its a hard time keeping the kids engaged inside the house.

Here are some things to do to keep the little ones busy in at home –

1. DIY Crafts
These quick and easy winter kids crafts can be made in few minutes using items that you probably already have around the house! NO special skills or tools are required, so ANYONE can make these cute projects! Here is a list of DIY Crafts like making Snowman from snow, Egg carton Penguins, Snow Globe or Ice-cream stick crafts.

2. Pretend Play
This is one of the most common activities which most kids like to play. Tell your kids to pretend as though they are in their ‘World of Animals’ and tell them to make different noises of the animals. Maybe they can pretend to be a doctor or space scientist and do the respective roles as per their imagination. You can gather their friends and make it a group activity. Give them initial ideas and let their feathers of imagination fly high.

3. Indoor Games
There are a lot of board games you can play inside as per your kids’ age. And board games are a great, inexpensive way for families to spend quality time together. When children play board games they learn social skills such as communicating verbally and sharing, the game play can motivate them to increase focus and to practice patience while they wait their turn. From Ludo, Chinese Checkers, Snake & Ladder to UNO and puzzles or building blocks are fun.

4. Online Camps
Because of the Covid pandemic kids are not able to go out, online camps come to rescue. Online Camps provide children with a ton of different activities, experiences, and knowledge. Proeves has been successfully running online camps for kids during the pandemic. For upcoming camps visit our Learning Lab at www.proeves.com/learninglab.php
