The Universe and Space have fascinated both children and adults alike. How many times have you looked at the sky on a starry night and wondered “What else is out there?”. The Outer Space is a topic that captures the imagination of children and rouses their curiosity. No wonder it’s their favourite topic for books, videos and activities. We have listed a very easy and engaging activity which you can do with your toddler. Cutting paper strengthens the hand muscles and improves independent finger movement. But be careful while your child works with scissors and never leave the child unattended.
What you need:
- Kids scissors (they have blunt tip and softer handles)
- Glue-stick
- Printable Worksheet

Option 2: Colour and cut
- You can take printout of the below worksheet.
- Let your child colour these planets according to the colours. Eg. Mercury-Brown, Venus-Light Yellow, Earth-Blue and Green, Mars-Red, Jupiter-Brown and White, Saturn-Peach, Uranus-Light Blue, Neptune-Dark Blue
- Paste the cutouts on a black sheet in the order of distance of Planets from the Sun. Eg Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune
